I was born in Ontario Canada and yes you can still hear my Canadian accent but I have grown up here in the Valley of the Sun. There are numerous pictures of me as a child reaching for or posing with animals. I was also the kid at birthday parties who couldn’t stand to watch the Disney movies where an animal was hurt; my path to practicing veterinary medicine and providing for the well-being of animals has been a natural progression from there.
I graduated from the University of Arizona with a Bachelors of Science in Veterinary Science. (Beardown!) I then fulfilled my dream of moving back to Canada to attend veterinary school at the University of Prince Edward Island and yes, I did meet Anne of Green Gables while completing my DVM. After graduation, I moved to Alberta to join a mixed animal practice and then moved back to Arizona to be with my family.
My fiancé and I have two rescue dogs Ellie and Charro. I love to travel and was fortunate to spend some of my clinical veterinary training in New Zealand and in Kenya as well as in provinces and states throughout Canada and the US.
When I’m not working, you’ll find me on various hiking trails with the pups, polishing my country two-stepping moves or planning the next adventure with my newest interest, scuba diving.
I am excited and grateful to be working with the very talented associates here at UVH and I am most looking forward to meeting you and providing superior veterinary care for your pets.
