University Animal Hospital has been accredited by the American Animal Hospital Association since 1965.
Why should that matter to you as a pet owner? In order for an animal hospital to become accredited, they have to undergo comprehensive evaluations by AAHA veterinary experts who evaluate the practice on approximately 900 standards of veterinary care. Hospitals are re-evaluated every 3 years in order to retain their accreditation. The standards of care are continually updated and more are added every year so that accredited hospitals stay current with veterinary medicine. Only 12-15% of all animal hospitals in the United States and Canada are accredited. We want to make sure your pet has the very best care and we are committed to maintaining this high level of accreditation. Make sure your pet is being cared for by an accredited animal hospital.
