I have dreaming of becoming a veterinarian since I was a young girl. Growing up, my siblings and I were always around animals, dogs were a constant and we had our share of turtles, aquariums, guinea pigs and hamsters. My parents instilled in me a love for all of God’s creatures. As a child I remember “practicing medicine” on my stuffed animals, I use to bandage up my beanie babies with toilet paper to treat their “wounds”. I soon transitioned from stuffed animals, to volunteering at a wildlife center hand-feeding the orphaned sparrows, rabbits and feral kittens. Any critter I could get involved with I would. As I became older, I realized how much I enjoyed the medical and scientific aspect as well.
I was born and raised on the North Shore of Massachusetts. I received my bachelors degree from Mass. College of Pharmacy in Boston, and then attended Tufts Veterinary School. Growing tired of the cold weather, once graduating veterinary school I moved to the desert. My first year out of school I spent completing an extensive training program in emergency and critical care. I recently switched from emergency medicine to general practice with the hopes of developing stronger relationships with my clients and their pets.
In my free time, I enjoy reading, binge watching the latest television show, traveling, and spending time with my fur-kids, family and friends.
I have a one eyed Tuxedo cat (Charlie), a three-legged torti cat (Daenerys), and a terrier mix (Penelope).
